Bass River Paddle

Calling all paddlers! Join us for a kayak/paddle board meet-up to celebrate the Bass River and its watershed at 1:00pm. We’ll launch from Pleasant View Beach next to Gillis Park, paddle up the Bass River to Elliott St. and back. Throughout this leisurely paddle, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the City’s current Bass River District Resilience Study, observe flooding risks, and view the more natural aspects of the river from the water with City of Beverly staff, the Harbor Management Authority, and Salem Sound Coastwatch.

Bring your own kayak or paddle board, or borrow one from a friend! Remember, life jackets are required in Massachusetts.

We will launch at 1:00pm, so please arrive with enough time to paddle over to Pleasant View Beach or unload your boat and park your car along Gillis Park. See you there!
