Lifelong Learning about Your Local Environment

Our watershed and coastline offer an endless array of lifelong learning opportunities about nature. If you are curious to know more, a good place to start is Alive in Salem Sound! These pages describe the different parts of our local ecosystem and the animals and plants that inhabit them. You can learn even more by taking advantage of the numerous public lectures, events, and resources that Salem Sound Coastwatch has to offer.

Attend Lectures

“Underwater in Salem Sound” is an annual series of public lectures offered each winter. These local lectures are presented both in-person and online. In addition, they are recorded so you can view them anytime. Many additional lectures and presentations are offered to the public throughout the year. These are announced in our newsletter and through social media postings.
