Winter Island Planting Project

Join SSCW and the @salemnativenursery on Saturday, September 9th at Winter Island to help us plant more than 40 species of native plants across the park and turn it into a paradise for native birds, butterflies, and other pollinators! 🌱🐦🦋🐝
This planting project will help to beautify Winter Island even further, control erosion around the stone dust trail, and make Winter Island one of the most biodiverse public spaces in all of Salem! If you love Winter Island, love gardening, or love pollinators, please consider stopping by to help us plant trees, shrubs, and perennials.
Please RSVP at salemnativenursery@gmail.com. Meet at 50 Winter Island Rd. at 9:00am. Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring a spade if you have one!
