The Massachusett Tribe in Salem: Wednesday Volunteer Support for Fish Weir

On September 19th, 20th, and 21st, Salem Public School students will be building fish weirs in Salem Harbor. Volunteers are needed both evenings to check the weirs for fish, and dismantle them for the following day. There will be an opportunity to learn informally from Massachusett Tribal Member Thomas Green during the volunteer events.

Registration is required for this event at trailsandsails.org/events/the-massachusett-tribe-in-salem-volunteer-support-for-fish-weir-2/. Bring boots or kayak shoes if you have them, to walk in mud and shallow water. It can be cooler down by the water, especially in the evening, so dress warmly. Location and parking information will be emailed to everyone who has signed up for the event.
