Salem Dance Ensemble Concert for Collins Cove

Performances at 2:00 and 7:30pm. This concert includes original choreography by faculty, students, and Fall choreographer-in-residence Lonnie Stanton. Stanton has worked in collaboration with a select group of dance students to create a dance piece inspired by the restoration of the Collins Cove shoreline, led by Salem Sound Coastwatch. Stanton and the students have spent time discussing the climate crisis as part of their creative process, looking toward the work done at Collins Cove as a positive response to addressing erosion and coastal flooding.

Admission is free, although a suggested goodwill offering at the door of $10 is welcome for the Dance Honor Society. Co-sponsored by the Center for Creative and Performing Arts and Salem State Earth Days.
