Attend the Massachusett Tribe Flag Raising and Presentation at City Hall. Indigenous Peoples Day reminds us of the deep-rooted connection between the Massachusett tribe and the lands and waters of where we live today. The many indigenous communities relied on our watershed and ocean along the sound for food, fishing, and other resources using sustainable practices. By recognizing these connections, we honor the indigenous stewardship of the land and the interconnectedness of our ecosystems over time.
