Join Salem Sound Coastwatch at Winter Island to help remove invasive bittersweet and protect our coastal habitats. This fast-growing vine can smother native plants and trees, reducing habitat for local wildlife. Fall is an especially important time to tackle bittersweet because its bright berries are visible and can be removed before birds spread the seeds to new areas.
Come lend a hand, make a difference for our local environment, and help restore Winter Island’s natural landscape. No experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm! Tools and gloves will be provided.
