Salem, MA — Start your training for Salem Sound Coastwatch’s 15th Annual Run for the Beach 5K! Adult and youth are invited to participate in this fun-filled, family-friendly race on Sunday, June 9 starting at 9:00am. Runners, walkers, and strollers help support our mission to protect and improve the environmental quality of Salem Sound and its watershed.

The race route starts at Dane Street Beach and takes you to a beautiful lookout over Salem Sound at the Hospital Point Lighthouse. Join hundreds of runners and spectators in enjoying the coast and helping to keep it clean and healthy for all. This is a chip-timed event and prizes will be awarded for numerous categories. Children can enjoy a touch tank of marine animals and other hands-on activities.
