SUMMARY:Invasive Species Training
DESCRIPTION:Join Salem Sound Coastwatch to learn how to monitor marine invasive species this summer. Community science volunteers help survey local docks\, tidepools\, and rocky shores for invasive crustaceans\, tunicates\, seaweeds\, and more. Data collected supports regional monitoring efforts along the North Atlantic coast. \n\n\n\nThe training will begin at the Winter Island Function Hall before heading to the tidepools for field monitoring. Participants should wear sturdy\, closed-toed shoes that can get wet. \n\n\n\nRegistration is required. Please email Alex Borreil at alex.borreil@salemsound.org to participate.
