June 6th\, 12:00-1:00pm \n\n\n\nJoin SSCW and the City of Peabody for a Walk & Talk of the North River. On this guided walk\, we’ll share updates on the North River Corridor and Riverwalk Connection Project\, including the latest climate projections for this area\, riverbank restoration and stabilization alternatives\, and an update on the design plans for the riverwalk. SUMMARY:North River Cleanup and Seining Event
DESCRIPTION:To kick off our North River Awareness Week\, we’ll be hosting a cleanup of the North River from 10:00 – 11:30am on Thursday\, June 1st. From 11:30am – 12:00pm noon\, we’ll throw on some waders and use a seine net to observe the underwater inhabitants of the North River\, which could include smelt\, eels\, and crayfish! Join us for one or both of these events. \n\n\n\nLocation: Meet in the Stop & Shop parking lot at 19 Howley St.\, Peabody. \n\n\n\nNo advance registration is required.
