The City of Salem's Forest River Park, which is located right next to the historic Pioneer Village, is a site frequently visited by kayakers looking to paddle to Marblehead or around Salem Harbor. This is one of the more handicapped accessible sites. Restrooms are open during the summer months.

Forest River Park

Forest River Park has two sandy beaches. The large one is easily accessed from the end of the parking lot. Drivers can drop off their boats and park in one of the two parking areas.

Parking Areas at Forest River Park

There are two areas where one may park at Forest River Park. The area at the entrance of the park (photo on the right) contains the most spaces, and a second parking strip only contains 12 spots (photo on the left).
