Boat Ramp - Sandy Point

The beach is private on either side of the boat ramp. The asphalted ramp is a town public way. It is possible to drive down to unload kayaks, but please be respectful of people using the beach and private property. No parking is allowed on the ramp.

Sandy Point to Winter Island

Favorite paddles head easterly from Sandy Point along Dane Stree Beach and Lynch Park or out to Manchester-by-the-Sea and Misery Islands. The Sandy Beach access also points paddlers toward two other favorite kayaking areas across the Beverly Harbor: Salem Willows and Winter Island Park. Be aware that to reach Salem, you will need to paddle across the channel, which is often very busy with boats entering Beverly Harbor and the Danvers River.
